INTRODUCTION The increasing number of people living in cities creates difficulties for cities regarding their environmental sustainability and resource distribution as well as their standard of living. Eco-friendly urban planning creates cities which harmonize development projects alongside environmental protection to build sustainable urban environments. United Nations data indicates that urban areas currently host more than 56% of global population numbers yet this percentage will increase to nearly 70% by 2050.
